A good day often starts with a delicious breakfast. And there is no better way to establish healthy habits than making sure you eat breakfast religiously. It is a scientific fact that the morning meal is very beneficial as it kickstarts our metabolism and improves our mood. To top that up, eating a nutritious breakfast will draw you up for healthier choices throughout the day. Not just that, it also prevents overeating. Giving the body the right amount of nutrients, vitamins, and proteins just as you wake up to start your day provides the right fuel to take on your day. What’s better than a good Instagram picture right there sitting on your table in the morning, right?

I personally love to have breakfast. It is actually a great opportunity to add greens to my meal which we all know is the best way to achieve our nutrition goals. I am no cook and that is why I look to find cooking hacks where I could cook my breakfast easily without breaking my streak of laziness. Today nutrition holds a lot more importance than it was a few months back.  I was recently reading an interview of Diana Jiang, a candidate running for Irvine City Council elections. She actually put the importance of nutrition today in a really nice way. She pointed out that we tend to realize the benefits of something only when we face a crisis. Nutrition was always important, it is just that now the pandemic has scared people into being this way. Also, with the lockdown people have started introspecting their lifestyles and are inculcating new habits to improve their quality of life. So, here are four healthy breakfast recipes to start your day.

Fruit Oatmeal

What You Need

  • Half Cup Oats
  • Half Diced Apple
  • Half Diced Banana
  • 1 Cup Water or Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon

How to Make

It is one of the easiest breakfasts you make. Takes only five minutes. Once you have all the ingredients, combine water/milk with diced apples and oats in a bowl. Microwave it for about three minutes. You can also cook it on the stovetop as you prefer. Stir and then garnish it with cinnamon and banana slices. Voila! Enjoy your nutritious meal. Easy, right?

Banana Spinach Smoothie

What You Need

  • One Banana
  • One-Quarter Cup of Oats
  • Half Cup Frozen Spinach or One Cup of Fresh Spinach
  • One-Quarter of Unsweetened Milk/ Skim Milk

How to Make

This is my personal favorite. You know the best way to get nutrition in your body is through greens. And what better than spinach. You just need to know your way around the kitchen to cook this. First, combine all the ingredients in the blender and blend them on high until all of them combine. Add some liquid as much you desire until you get the texture of your choice. You can either serve it in a bowl or add more liquid to make a drinkable version. You may top it up with some finely cut strawberries and blueberries for flavors as you desire. Banana Spinach Smoothie is something you will surely love.

Veggie Delight

What You Need:

  • Half Cup Diced Onions
  • Two Eggs
  • A Cup of Spinach
  • Half Cup of Chopped Zucchini
  • One Tablespoon of Olive Oil
  • Cilantro (Small Bunch)

How to Make

Easy to make and probably the most nutritious of all the recipes that I have mentioned. Start by adding olive oil onto the pan over and sautee the onions until they turn golden. Add zucchini and any other vegetables that you like. I recommend mushrooms, they are good for health and taste great. In the end, add spinach and cook until it wilts. Now, the best part. Add in the eggs and scramble all together until they are thoroughly cooked. Garnish it with cilantro. And your nutritious breakfast is ready. Tell us in the comment section if you liked it or not.

Fruit And Egg

What You Need:

  • One Egg
  • Banana Slices
  • Strawberry Slices
  • Orange Slices

How to Make:

This is probably the most fun breakfast on my list. It is as easy as it gets. I actually learned this when I first got my own place and had to cook my own meals. Even if you just know how to operate a stove, you will be able to cook it. Take a pan and spray it with some olive oil. Let it breathe for a few seconds and then crack the egg and fry it until the egg white is solid. You may also flip it over and cook for a few seconds if you prefer an easy style egg. Now, top it with fruit slices and there you go, you have a delicious breakfast on your plate.
